What is the MSAT? It is supposed to be an objective assessment of a test taker's requisite foundation of knowledge and skills. MSAT scores are used by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) as a uniform standard of qualification. While it may not be fair, all of a person's plans for the future may be dependent upon needing a certain MSAT score. There is a lot of confusion surrounding studying for the MSAT, and standardized tests in general. In order to give yourself the best chance at success, you must mentally prepare yourself in knowing what the expected test results are. Most times, ticky questions are asked not to see if you can get the correct answer (sometimes there is no absolute answer). But they are really testing you and your thinking skills. They want to see that you can "think on your feet" and have get answers in a logical manner. Guessing the answer soemtimes can get you through, but ultimately, problem solving skills are crucial to your success. |
